Hello,
Just a quick note to pass on some info about a fundraiser for the Cedarburg Athletic Booster Club, on Sunday, August 22nd. Funds raised at this event assist the Booster Club’s continued support of all athletic activities at Cedarburg High School. More info is on the attached flyer, and the registration form is available on their website here: http://www.cedarburgboosters.org
-click for flyer-
Registration is limited so don’t delay. Enter your own men’s, women’s or mixed foursome OR sign up yourself and they will place you with other fun Booster Club supporters. This year’s LOWER $95 cost per player still includes 18 holes of golf with cart, golfer’s gift bag, prizes and a delicious Flannery’s buffet dinner.
SPECIAL ADDITION FOR NON-GOLFERS…
Don’t golf?? That’s OK! With the purchase of dinner only for $25, you can enjoy a complimentary wine tasting donated by Grapes and Tastes and TWC Wines from 5-6pm at Fire Ridge. Then, ALL can enjoy dinner and an evening of raffles, auction items and FUN!! Remember, you do not need to be a Cedarburg Booster Club member to take advantage of this great time AND support Cedarburg High School student athletes!
Cheers (and Fore)!

Ha! Gotcha with the title of today’s message, didn’t we? Free stuff usually attracts attention….
The FREE stuff is tickets to Wisconsin State Fair. Be the first few people to stop in and mention the FREE tickets and you get two to the fair, running from August 5-15. We have a few sets to give away so hurry.
The Almost FREE is our cheese and sausage selections. Stop in and get 50% off any of our cheeses – block, sliced, whips, string and more – and any of our sausage foods – whole, sliced, Buffalo sticks, Swizel sticks, jerky, pate’ and more. This includes our new line of cheeses and our Cheese and Sausage Snack Packs. Enjoy here, at home, at Summer Sounds, or wherever.
That’s it for this week. See you soon!
Cheers!

Hello,
Just a quick note this week to mention that Grapes and Tastes will have a wine booth at the Ozaukee County Fair in Cedarburg this week and weekend. The Oz County Fair is one of the few remaining fairs in the Midwest that are still free, so be sure to check it out. For more info go here: www.ozaukeecountyfair.com
For those of you who do attend the fair, stop by our booth near the main gate for a glass on us. Say hello and mention this post to get a BUY ONE GET ONE glass of wine.*
If you stop in at the store on Friday night, you can say hello to Erik. He will be on hand to taste out a few Left Bank wine selections. Enjoy some wine and catch up with Erik!
Cheers!
* One BOGO per email address/account, thanks.

At Grapes and Tastes we like to point out that we have over 300 wines, with most of them being ‘smaller’ names so we can offer a wide assortment of flavor profiles and appellations, at price points we are comfortable with. We then offer tastes of many of our wines so you can become familiar with them before buying. We believe that this approach has led to our better-than-expected success so far.
We mention this to point out that when we hold a wine tasting, we like to make it a real TASTING. You get a nice pour of wine, rather than just a few drops to evaluate as you stand in line for the next wine. You can even come back for a second taste if you like. We want you to really have fun learning about our featured wines!
And, we mention this because our Bordeaux Wine Tasting is this Saturday, July 17, from 3-5 p.m. We will be offering for tasting six great Bordeaux wines, giving you a real opportunity to experience the famous French region’s productions. And, try the new cheeses we’ve just added, or the delicious antipasto made right here in Cedarburg by a local resident. All this for just $5! être présent ou être de forme carrée! (Guess what this means and get FREE chocolate with your tasting, too!)
Cheers!

Hope everyone had great 4th of July and enjoyed the break from the daily grind! (Except for those who had to work on the 4th, of course!)
For this week’s post we thought we’d mention that not only do we always have a number of great wines out for tasting on a daily basis, but if you choose to have a glass of any of those wines, you can do so for only $5.00. That means WHATEVER we have out for tasting is $5.00 for a glass whether it’s a big California Cab or an Oregon Pinot Noir. So check out the Daily Delights next time you stop in to stock up. AND – this week’s Daily Delights will include our favorite Sangria with fresh fruit. Enjoy a glass while shopping or chilling to beat the heat.
Also worth noting is our Bordeaux Wine Tasting on Saturday, July 17. From 3-5 p.m. we’ll have some newly released whites, rose’s and reds not found around here available for tasting. Try them all. Try them all twice if you like. Just $5.00 (or just 5.23 francs, for you Francophiles!), which includes some new crafted cheeses that we brought in just for this tasting.
Cheers, or Viva la France!
